Day Care Resources for proper intact penis care
We have a wonderful intact care info poster that you can print and hang by your changing stations. It’s best in full color, but black and white works also!
Our shop carries an already-printed poster if you prefer.
If you are training/teaching your staff about proper care for intact (not circumcised) children, please emphasize the following points:
The foreskin is fused to the glans (head) of the penis, and the tip is tight, even appearing closed on many babies.
The foreskin does not need any special care or cleaning underneath it.
Pushing or pulling the foreskin back can cause injury and pain.
Wipe only what you can see.
Our Forced Retraction Brochure further explains the issue, and can be used to educate parents, doctors, and caregivers.
Statement on retraction from the AAP
"Forcing the foreskin to retract before it is ready can cause severe pain, bleeding, and tears in the skin."
Thank you! If you have any questions or needs, please contact us.
for parents
Print off this informative letter that you can take to your day care provider. It explains the concern of forced retraction and points them to this Day Care Resources page.
Purchase a packet with the day care information printed and ready to take to your provider! It includes the letter mentioned above, a laminated intact care poster, a forced retraction brochure, and some cards and stickers.
